Rocket 520 29er Mountain Bike with Hydraulic Disc Brakes & Shimano 27-Speed
Rocket 520 29-Inch 27-Speed Mountain Bike: Built for Trails and Everyday Riding
The Rocket 520 is a 29-inch aluminum hardtail mountain bike designed for recreational trail riding, fitness rides, unpaved paths, and everyday riding. Built around an X6 aluminum alloy frame, a 100mm front suspension fork, hydraulic disc brakes, and a Shimano Altus 27-speed drivetrain, it provides a practical combination of control, gear range, and capability for riders exploring beyond paved roads.
The 100mm front suspension fork helps absorb impacts and vibration on uneven paths, maintained trails, gravel roads, and rough pavement. Its hardtail design keeps the rear of the bike simple and responsive while providing front suspension for added comfort and control over changing surfaces.
The Shimano Altus 3 × 9 drivetrain provides 27 gear combinations for varied riding conditions. A Shimano 22/30/40T crankset paired with an 11–36T cassette offers lower gearing for climbs along with higher gears for flatter roads and faster sections. Shimano Rapidfire Plus shifters allow riders to make gear changes from the handlebar.
CSTAR hydraulic disc brakes provide controlled braking with smooth lever operation. Compared with mechanical cable-actuated disc brakes, the hydraulic system requires less hand effort and provides consistent braking performance for recreational trail riding and everyday use.
The Rocket 520 rolls on 29 × 2.0-inch tires with double-wall alloy rims. The larger wheel diameter helps maintain momentum and roll more smoothly over uneven surfaces, while the 2.0-inch tires provide traction and stability on maintained dirt trails, gravel paths, and paved roads.
Internal cable routing gives the aluminum frame a clean appearance while helping protect portions of the cables from dirt, contact, and trail debris.
The Rocket 520 is a practical choice for:
Recreational Trail Riders: The 29-inch wheels, 100mm suspension fork, and hydraulic disc brakes provide a capable setup for maintained trails, dirt paths, and gravel routes.
Fitness and Weekend Riders: The Shimano 27-speed drivetrain provides a broad gear range for varied routes, rolling terrain, and longer recreational rides.
Everyday Riders: The aluminum hardtail frame, large wheels, and practical component package make the Rocket 520 suitable for riders who divide their time between paved roads and unpaved paths.
The Rocket 520 is intended for recreational cross-country riding, maintained trails, gravel paths, dirt roads, and everyday riding. It is not designed for downhill mountain biking, large jumps, extreme drops, stunt riding, or competition use.
