Great for Big Guys!

I am 6-3, 250 pounds, with proportionately long legs. This bike fits me.

If you're a big guy looking for a comfortable bike, this is it. Here are some measurements:

Top Tube, Typical Cruiser: 21 inches ||
Top Tube, Firmstrong: 24 inches ||
Seat tube, mid-crank to seat clamp, Typical Cruiser: 18 inches ||
Seat tube, mid-crank to seat clamp, Firmstrong: 19 inches ||

I didn't measure the seat POST, but it's considerably longer than the one from my old 26 inch bike. Bottom line, I've got the seat adjusted where my knees are just almost straight on the downstroke, and it's still comfortable to ride and doesn't look like a clown bike.

It also helps that the top tube is angled slightly upward from seat post to head set. That leaves plenty of room to raise the seat in proportion to the handlebars.

The aluminum frame is tough as hell - yet also very light. The bike weighs less than my old 26er!

I sent back several other 29 inch bikes. They had 29 inch wheels, but with the same size frame as comes standard with 26 inch wheels. That doesn't work for me. I've got a torn meniscus that screams in pain when I my knees are in my armpits. On this Firmstrong bike, I forget the injury is even there.

I've owned this bike two weeks now, and I'm totally in love with it. Highly recommended for big guys!

Great bike with one exception

This bike is just what I'm looking for. It's 29 inch wheels, aluminum frame, coaster brake setup is perfect for racking up the miles while staying comfortable. The exception is the cheap, one piece bottom bracket they used. With that, it rides like a cheap bike. The BB bearings started to go within 2 weeks. I ended up swapping it to a 3 piece crank and a cartridge BB with conversion kit. With the conversion, it rides spectacular. It's disappointing they would cheap out on such an important part.

Xlnt bike.

Just got my Black Rock. It came quickly when ordered. It was easy to assemble. It is a very solid and well built bike. It is pretty fast for a 1 speed cruiser. It is a perfect fit for larger riders.

Great bike, great service

I was amazed at the packaging and shipping of my bike, each individual part was wrapped in padded material and it was in perfect condition. Assembly instructions were easy and was completed in less than an hour. First ride was outstanding although short due to 20mph winds beachside in Florida. Highly recommend.
